IFBA – Incorporation completed At recent Governors meetings that were held in Innsbruck and Ottawa the IFBA Executive placed before the member associations a significant and long term plan for the future of the sport, starting with aligning the IFBA to a Not for Profit status under the eyes of the law allowing for the many advantages that are available to those that have this status. Slight delays due to changes in Association Laws meant some extra work for the Executive and the past months since the Ottawa meeting many long hours have gone into achieving the goal of incorporation. It is with great pleasure that we can now say that the work was worth the effort. As of April 8th 2014 we have received our Certificate of Incorporation as a Not for Profit Organization.Incorporation, Constitution/By-Laws, IFBA Rule BookSecuring this status was one of the requirements placed upon the Executive by the Governors, others are the updating of the IFBA Constitution-By-Laws and the IFBA Rules Book. Both documents are in their final stages of completion. Again there were some delays with both due to unseen factors but the Constitution-ByLaws will be distributed to the Member Associations shortly for review ahead of the 2014 Governors meeting in Tomakomai, Japan where the document will be formally accepted and the IFBA Rule Book will be posted up on the IFBA web site where it can be read easily. We will also have the facility where the Rule Book will be available for purchase, again off the web site.
