Welcome to the 2022 World Broomball Championships October 31st 2022 in Kingston Ontario Canada!

The following information pertains to event and team registration. If you do run into problems during the registration process please contact the Web Administrator and we will assist you, upon completion of your team registration, an IFBA representative will contact you by email. Please read the following and click Register at the bottom of the page.


  1. All teams must register through the online registration to be accepted into the competition categories in the 2022 World Broomball Championships. No entries will be accepted by the 2022 Host Committee or by mail or otherwise.

  2. Competition Categories for the event are:
    Men’s Masters
    Women’s Masters

    Women’s, Mixed & Masters Categories are non contact
    Masters Category, 40 years of age or over on or before the commencement date of the tournament.

  3. We are trying to have a Women’s Masters category. By registering in the Women’s Masters Category, you acknowledge and accept that if this Category does not fill up to a minimum of 8 teams, the teams will be placed in the Women’s Category which is also no body contact.

  4. Cost for Registration for the 2022 event is ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,500.00 CAD) for teams using Host Hotels and TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500.00 CAD) if teams choose to stay at other hotels. This will be strictly enforced and monitored by the local accommodating committee.

  5. No team will be accepted until the funds clear the IFBA account.

  6. Teams withdrawing from the event after June 30th, 2022 forfeit their registration fee.

  7. IFBA competition policy requires Minimum Team roster to be 16 players. Teams arriving with fewer players will not be eligible to participate. This rule is in the best interest of the teams for the safety of players due to the amount of games played over the 5 full days of competition. Any deviation from this should be directed to the IFBA for their approval.

  8. Accommodations
    • The Host Committee has secured several hotels for the event, all within a short driving distance to all venues. The list of hotels can be viewed on the host web site. These accommodations are to be considered IFBA approved accommodations.

    • The IFBA and Host Committee will not be held responsible for any damages as a result of team behavior in the hotels. This will be the responsibility of the team and guests staying in the damaged room. Should the damages result during the competition, the person(s) responsible and incident will be reviewed by the IFBA Executive for possible disciplinary action and the responsible person(s) may be terminated from the event and forfeit any opportunity to participate in future IFBA sanctioned events.

    • Teams not using IFBA approved Accommodations will be subject to an additional registration fee as noted in the Registration Policy for this event.

    • A host committee member will contact you to follow up on the accommodations your team has chosen and we encourage teams to use the Hotel contact information and book your rooms after your registration is complete.

  9. Host Car Rental Agency – more information will be provided soon on car rentals.

  10. Event Referee’s
    • All officials must contact IFBA Chief Official Doug Nixon at chiefofficial@internationalbroomball.org prior to acceptance. Information pertaining to specific costs, accommodations, per diems and transportation will be distributed by the Chief Official.

  11. Practice Ice
    • Practice ice requests are available to teams on the registration app. Practice ice will be scheduled on October 31st, once purchased, a host representative will coordinate a time and location for you.

  12. Team Souvenir Exchanges
    • Teams will have time to exchange team souvenirs with competing teams prior to each game. To ensure there is no disruption in the game schedules, the process will be:
      • Captains and Alternate(s) do one exchange at centre ice prior to the game.

  13. Banquet Information: Banquet tickets must be paid for in advance and are included on the registration form.
    • Teams will be required to order banquet tickets online prior to the event. A minimum purchase of 16 tickets per team is required.
    • The cost for banquet tickets is Sixty dollars ($60.00 CAD) per person.
